Almost 30 Years of Making Memories

Next of Kiln, LLC has been a beloved part of the Basin for almost 30 years — since Judy Vallejos first opened her dream shop here in Klamath Falls. From the very beginning, the studio became a cherished destination for families and friends from Klamath Falls, Lakeview, Dorris, MacDoel, Eagle Point, Bend, and communities far beyond.

I am the new owner, Michelle Tyree-Murphy, along with my husband Ron Murphy. We relocated the shop to 919 Klamath Avenue and opened the doors March 2026. Both of us have lived here most of our lives and wanted to ensure that the community continued to have the Next of Kiln, LLC store remain open that Judy worked so hard to establish. I have always had a strong passion for all types of art and currently I am working with fused glass - which also uses a kiln - just a different type. In my past I have done oil painting and water colors with George McMahan, Tole Painting with Barbara Mc Donald at Rina's Flowers; wood working and more than I can list.

I found when I was traveling for nine years of my career in the Natural Gas Construction field, I would get homesick and that was when I discovered that if I went to a Paint Your Own Pottery store, I always felt as if I was with family - though 100's of miles away. My favorite shops were in Arizona at "As You Wish". That sense of belonging, unconditional expectations and the friendships I made are with me still today.

For nearly three decades, Next of Kiln, LLC has been blessed with making so many memories — memories that last forever. Every painted piece that left this studio carried a little piece of someone's heart, and that tradition continues every single day.
